It's because it's a bigger miracle than a creation. It's a resurrection.

It's spelled out in the prodigal son parable--"He was dead and is alive." (And a son that treated his father that way would probably have been considered dead to his family...)

ReplyDeleteI think that the rejoicing is because God is getting back that which he has a right to. We rejoice in resurrections because the (formerly)dead are being snatched away from Satan's kingdom and restored to God's, where they rightfully belong. We should keep in mind that salvation isn't entirely about us.
