Maybe UCLA has picked up on Hollywood-esque "love the story" brushoffs, but she handed off Hunter Biden's proposal to teach a course on drug policy to another law school official, so maybe she was serious. This was in early 2020, pre laptop revelations--Hunter's ethical issues weren't public knowledge yet.

How is she on parking spaces for the faculty? And uh, those other things?
Parking spaces? At UW? In the city that looks like an octopus strangled by two lakes?
I suppose the important other things are making sure the legislature doesn't cut the budget and that the alumni pony up.
FWIW, the UW has been pretty gung ho about DIE, but hasn't been very friendly to cancellers.
I was thinking of Chancellor Clark Kerr's quote “The chancellor’s job is to provide parking for the faculty, and athletics for the alumni, and sex for the students.”
