The NYT link will decay (via
Maggie's Farm) has an article on "The Sexy Bride Look" and the gown designers behind it. I suppose they want this to be another "thing," and one bride said "I thought I was going to die at the end of the night with the corset, but I loved how I looked."
The pictures struck me as a bit odd. The gowns are flattering and all, but they are worn by models, not brides. Not one of them looks remotely happy. Risk; flee.

I saw picture in one of those bride magazines, and it was of a wedding dress that looked like a cross between Anna Pavlova's dress from "The Dying Swan" and an exercise ball. And it was covered in feathers.
