Simeon and Levi are condemned for their anger and violence and told that they will be dispersed, albeit in the family. And
the Simeon tribe seems not to have had a clear territory separable from that of Judah. The Levite tribe was, of course, scattered through the whole of Israel.
I don't see "founder effect" -- the subsequent trajectories of the two tribes was quite different despite Israel's joint curse. But it's a curious note.
