I have been accused of being like this in my storytelling. A young (40) friend once laughed to my sons "I've heard someone interrupt themselves to tell a side story, but I've never heard anyone interrupt their story four times to tell another and another and then successfully work their way back. Your Dad has made it back to the second story again." To which Son #2 said "Don't get your hopes up."
