No. The story is all garbled, IceCube has nothing to do with it, and the ANITA people are probably tearing their hair out. One of our people was misquoted; unhappiness abounds.
What evidence IceCube does have apparently rules out the claim. (I don't have a link for that, unfortunately.)

I admit I don't even click the links on physics stories in the popular press anymore. I know they will get it wrong in some critical detail, that they will emphasis some spectacular but unlikely aspect, and they will not even look hard at the sense of what they are writing.
If something big happens, I figure it will trickle down to me eventually. This relates to your uninformed vs misinformed post.
