Is it easier to hear something when someone unfamiliar says it? I like his image of the twisted trees. He left out the warning that the twisted trees must also be careful comparing themselves with the protected ones, though.
I have little resonance with the mystic side of Christianity. But I listen to someone like this and figure that anyone I know who is floundering, especially if they are of mystical bent themselves, should be pointed in the direction of the Orthodox churches.
